Night of Culture

Tonight (Wed) I stopped in at Jessixa Bagley's show of little robot drawings at Trophy Cupcakes, before heading over to Cafe Racer - where I got to see some drawings brought in by Bruce Bickford.  From there, Scott and Pamela whisked me off to the Central Cinema to see "Sita Sings the Blues" .  It was amazing and wonderful -- with echoes of Yellow Submarine -- entirely animated by writer/artist Nina Paley, using Flash.  I'm inspired to learn how to use Flash.  The psychedelic musical number just after the "intermission" is an animation tour de force / I could watch it again and again.

At the cinema, I had a beer float (stout and vanilla ice cream) (it was hot enough today to merit it).  I couldn't quite reconcile the two tastes; it will probably be my last beer float.
