Zine Class

Zine Class, originally uploaded by davidlasky.

Here is a flyer by Jonathan Horn for a class I will be teaching (with Horn) at the Richard Hugo House. Do you know a Seattle area teen who would be interested?? Please tell them about this.............

The most renegade room in Hugo House, our Zine Archive and Publishing Project holds the world's largest collection of handmade magazines (and some funky art, retro-fitted computers, ancient typewriters and drawers of random stuff). In this class we'll explore the powerful combination of words and pictures, creating stories, collage, comics, poems, rants, recipes, you-name-it. Then we'll fold and staple our way to the ultimate goal: one of the world's greatest communication tools, Your Own Zine.

Instructor: David Lasky
Meets: Saturdays, September 12 – October 10, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
Tuition: $50, pay-what-you-can
